
Asteral gears up for growth with new CEO

Asteral, the UK’s leading vendor-independent provider of medical equipment services, has appointed Christopher Langley as CEO. The appointment follows an exciting 18 months for the business, which has seen Asteral expand its offering to provide a broad range of services that specifically cater for the needs of healthcare providers today.
Langley has been working with the Asteral board as a Non-Executive Director since October 2010 and now moves to CEO. He brings a wealth of board level experience to the role, from both private companies and within the NHS.
As the Chairman at Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Langley has led the transformation of the Trust over the past two years and will continue in a non-executive capacity over the coming months. He was also a Non-Executive Director of North Middlesex University Hospitals NHS Trust. Previous positions include Managing Director of high street electrical retailer Dixons Stores plc and CEO of Jessops plc.
