
Asteral’s new business team grows

A further two appointments at leading supplier of expert equipment services Asteral signals a 50% growth in the new business team since January 2011.
The two newly created roles take the total team size to 15, with Nigel Bailey appointed as Logistics Manager and Ben Pearson as senior bid manager.
Procurement and commercial management specialist Nigel is responsible for developing and enhancing the range of services that Asteral provides to it customers. His purchasing and commercial management career in the private sector spans British Airways, BAE Systems and most recently he was the Commercial Services Manager at Johnson & Johnson Medical Ltd, one of the largest suppliers of medical and surgical consumables to the NHS. Nigel also has extensive experience of working in the NHS, both as Supply Chain Manager and Deputy Director of Purchasing and Supply.
Ben brings with him a wealth of experience working in the public sector, specialising in business development and operational delivery. Starting his career in education, Ben has since worked on multi-disciplinary programmes across education, health and social care. He has a proven track record of delivering successful bids to clients on an international, national and regional level, including local governments and agencies, strategic partnerships with the private sector and formal public-private partnership arrangements in the UK and abroad.
