Managed Equipment Services (MES)
An Asteral MES offers a revenue solution for the funding, procurement, installation, management and maintenance of medical devices and associated consumables over single or multiple equipment lifecycles.
As the leading vendor-independent provider of MES we work in partnership with our customers, leveraging established MES principles to ensure the service addresses both clinical and financial needs. Our approach is designed to deliver measurable efficiency savings and enhance the patient experience.

Single-life arrangements
An Asteral single-life MES provides a new and affordable way to access new technology.
Delivered under a short form contract, a single-life MES provides a flexible and scalable solution for the procurement, management and maintenance of medical devices. Covering a single asset lifecycle, it carries a lower whole-life cost than traditional methods of procurement plus life-time maintenance, while retaining all the operational benefits of a multi-life arrangement.
Multi-life arrangements
An Asteral multi-life MES provides a robust and sustainable solution for the acquisition and management of medical equipment, both now and in the future.
The Asteral team work in true strategic partnership with clinical, financial and management teams to ensure that the arrangement continues to meet all requirements as patient services evolve. With assets under management replaced at the end of their recommended life, clinical staff can continue to have access to the latest and most appropriate technology, with no capital investment required.
Partner with independent equipment specialists
Our highly experienced team provides a unique blend of clinical, technical and commercial expertise, together with the impartiality that comes from total vendor-independence. This enables us to procure equipment from all major medical equipment manufacturers and suppliers based purely on clinical criteria and affordability.

An Asteral MES can deliver significant productivity gains, improved patient pathways and a positive impact on quality, safety and cost-effectiveness.
